White het men reclaiming the Civil Rights Movement because “we were the people who did it in the first place”?
So enslaving people and genocide was his people’s Civil Rights movement? Yes, well, as Marimba Ani writes, Glenn Beck’s [white het male supremacist] society is the culture of hypocrisy, and as Derrick Jensen writes, U.S. dominant society is the Culture of Make-Believe. Beck does denial and hypocrisy it so well. No wonder he’s tremendously popular. He doesn’t speak any truth.
He’s noxious, condescending, self-righteous, and conducts himself like a meth-head. That he is so popular definitely tells you plenty about this country.
