A whole lot of female artists/lead vocalists kept popping up on my shuffle this time ’round, so I decided to embrace the cosmos or whatever and keep the theme going:
1) St. Vincent – Black Rainbow
3) No Doubt – Tragic Kingdom
4) Martha Wainwright – Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole
5) Sleater-Kinney – By the Time You’re Twenty Five
6) PJ Harvey – White Chalk
7) Joan As Police Woman – Real Life
8 ) Christina Aguilera – Nasty Naughty Boy
9) Neko Case – Vengeance is Sleeping

I LOVE Martha Wainwright (and have a huge somewhat less “platonic” crush on her brother Rufus). I saw them BOTH together, she opened for him and also joined him for some vocals during his set, in Montreal. AWESOME.
I know, they’re great. I saw her open for him in Philly on Valentine’s Day last year. It was amazing!
Pitter patter goes my heart! I’m so glad I’m not alone in finding them BOTH fabulous. I should be a…. what shall we call it… a Wainhead?? And follow them around from show to show, taking it all in. Life could be worse, eh?
lol, Wainhead works for me (as does the groupie thing)!
Okay, so whoever gets to the stage first, like standing right up front, as I did in Montreal, we’ll save a spot for the other! Deal? (I’m good for getting on lines early if there’s open seating/standing!)
Fun to imagine being a Wainhead with ya!
Deal!
And after we go out for chocolate glazed donuts??? (No sprinkles for sure!)
absolutely!
